Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 8, 2026
At Memollo, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you visit memollo.com, create or purchase a digital surprise, share a gift, or open a gift that someone has sent to you.
In Simple Words
Memollo uses your information to create and deliver personalized digital surprises and process payments through Stripe.
A Memollo gift may contain names, messages, photos, music selections, and other content chosen by the person creating it.
Gifts are accessed through a unique shareable link. Anyone who receives or obtains that link may be able to view the gift, unless an available access-protection feature is enabled.
If you choose to allow Analytics, we use analytics technologies to understand how people use Memollo and improve the website.
We do not sell your personal information or your uploaded gift content.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permission to upload and share the content you provide.
Local Gift Draft Information

This may include names, message content, selected theme and music, builder choices, and draft photos. Draft photos are stored locally in browser storage before publication. Gift passcodes are not stored in persistent browser storage.
See our Cookie Policy for additional details about this local storage.

Memollo does not directly store your complete credit or debit card information.
We may receive limited transaction information necessary to provide the service, such as:

4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable privacy laws require a legal basis for processing personal information, we may rely on:
Contract: when processing is necessary to provide the Memollo service you requested, including creating, hosting, and delivering a purchased gift.
Legitimate interests: when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Memollo, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligations: when information must be processed or retained to comply with applicable laws, accounting requirements, or lawful requests.
Consent: where required, including for certain analytics, cookies, or marketing technologies.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent where applicable.
5. Gift Content and Shareable Links
Memollo gifts are designed to be shared through unique links.
If you share a gift link with another person, that person can access the content associated with that link.
If the link is forwarded, copied, posted publicly, or otherwise obtained by another person, that person may also be able to view the gift.
For this reason, you should:
- Share gift links only with intended recipients
- Avoid including highly sensitive or confidential information
- Use available access-protection features where appropriate
Memollo is not responsible for access caused by a customer or recipient sharing a gift link with another person.
When a Gift link is opened, Memollo records that the Gift was opened and, separately, that it was viewed through to the end — tied only to the Gift’s own internal identifier, so the sender can see that their Gift was received. This record does not include the recipient’s identity, IP address, device information, or any cookie or similar identifier, and it is not affected by the Analytics choice described in Section 7 — it involves no tracking technology at all.
6. Photos, Messages and Other Gift Content
You retain any ownership rights you have in photos, messages, and other content that you upload to Memollo.
By uploading content, you give Memollo a limited permission to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Memollo service.
Memollo does not sell your uploaded photos, personal messages, or gift content.
You should only upload content that:
- You created or have permission to use
- Does not violate another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights
- Is lawful and appropriate for the service
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Memollo uses cookies and browser storage for necessary website functionality, saving in-progress Gift drafts, remembering preferences, and storing your cookie choices.
We also use optional Analytics technologies. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity do not load until you choose to allow Analytics. You can reject optional Analytics or change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings in the website footer.
We do not currently use Marketing cookies or advertising technologies.
For details about the specific cookies and browser storage we use, see our Cookie Policy.
8. Analytics
Google Analytics helps us understand general website traffic, navigation, device/browser information, approximate location, referral sources, and website performance. It loads only after you grant Analytics consent.
Microsoft Clarity, when enabled, helps us understand general usability patterns such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation. It also loads only after Analytics consent.
We do not load Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity on private Gift viewing or editing pages. Our analytics implementation is designed not to send Gift messages, recipient or sender names, uploaded photos, Gift passcodes, private edit links or tokens, or raw Stripe Checkout session IDs to these analytics services.
These providers may process certain technical and usage information according to their own privacy policies.
